Transforming your health, healing your body, and becoming the healthiest, happiest version of yourself is an ever-evolving process.
It’s something that, if you truly are committed, will continue as long as you live.
So my best advice - learn to enjoy the ride. Accept that there will be ups and downs. Rather than letting the downs get you down, decide to see them instead as feedback for what didn’t work so that you can get back up even quicker with more knowledge and better skills to keep moving forward.
You are continually learning, being exposed to new ways of doing things, your body is always changing, you are a being that is constantly growing and adapting to the world within you and the life outside.
And that’s a beautiful thing. As you work towards achieving your goals and transforming your health, one of the most important things you can do is let yourself evolve.
Don’t get so stuck in your ways that you’re never willing to change, or try something new, or be wrong about something.
Let’s say you’ve tried a new diet, and it’s going great. You’re fasting every day until lunch, working out fasted in the mornings, cutting out carbs, and finally losing weight. It’s totally working.
Until it’s not anymore.
At some point you realize that your energy has completely tanked, you aren’t getting the results from your workouts that you were at first, your weight loss has halted, you’re not sleeping well, and your hair is weirdly starting to fall out.
That’s your body telling you something. It’s telling you it’s time to change. To evolve, to move on and try something new. It needs something different from you and what you’re doing is not working.
It’s up to you to listen. It’s your responsibility to look at what you’re doing and determine if it’s serving your body and mind in the best way. And if the answer is no longer yes, then it’s time to make a change.
If we go back to our CHOICE Blueprint, this is the point where you go back to the beginning, get some clarity, and start the cycle over again. What are you doing? Is it working? How are you feeling? What do you need to change? Are those changes working and making you feel better?
Accepting that you live and grow within this cycle makes it so much easier to enjoy it. Continually challenge yourself to grow, to be better than you were yesterday, to do the hard work, discipline yourself, love yourself, appreciate your body and what it’s capable of, find joy in the journey of being you.
You only get one shot at this life, and you deserve to live a life you love and feel your best. Don’t waste time feeling like garbage because you’re too tired to figure out why. Level yourself up, evolve, grow, and go through the steps of learning what you need to do to become your healthiest, happiest self.
We are made to evolve. Don’t resist the process.
